Craft a bourbon to suit your refined tastes.

As far a experiential vacations go, you’ll not find a better souvenir than a cask of whiskey or other spirit that you created. The expert staff at Moonshine University will, of course, be available to give as much advice and feedback as requested, but the product will be all yours as you call the shots during the week-long process.

The best week ever.

  • Create your own mashbill

We’ll spend Sunday afternoon sampling different products to help you zero in on a custom-designed mashbill to suit your tastes.

  • Mash it

Monday will be spent mashing two batches in our 250 gallon cooker. Why two? To make sure you have enough to fill a barrel.

  • Distill it

When the mash is ready, it’s distilling time. We’ll take you through a stripping run and a spirit run on Thursday and Friday.

  • Barrel it

Once the distillation process is finished, we’ll put it into a barrel that you picked out and toasted or charred yourself.

  • Compound it

We’ll begin with some essence training and then by working with you to capture the flavors and aromas you desire.

  • Prototype it

Now that we know what you’re after, we’ll start mixing and measuring ingredients to create the recipe of your dreams on our table top stills.

  • Distill it

After dialing in your botanical blend on a table top still we’ll scale up to our 50 gallon carter head still.

  • Bottle it

No need to drink straight from the still, we’ll bottle it for you and then send it to a distributor to make sure everything is legal.
