COURSE OVERVIEW

Prepare to absorb two lifetimes of knowledge in a fraction of the time. Master your craft with this one-of-a-kind, three-day advanced course designed for distillers ready to take a deeper dive into distillery engineering and operations.

Led by Pete Kamer, Principal of Distillery Engineering, and Randy Allender, Owner and Manager at R. Allender Consulting, students in this course will spend three days in the distillery with the best mentors in the business. Tap into over 70 years of combined operations experience as this pair of industry veterans leads you through the nuances of the entire production process, from boiler to bottling.

Students will get to test their knowledge at our on-campus distillery, covering everything from equipment selection, maintenance, and troubleshooting, to best practices in distillate production and product development. We’ll also walk you through energy, resource, and production calculations, proofing and gauging methods, and a live breakdown of distillery site plans. You can also count on exploring evaluation techniques and post-distillation processing, blending, barreling, and bottling procedures.

To ensure ample opportunity for hands-on learning, this class is limited to 10 attendees, so be sure to register soon and reserve your spot! This course requires either:

  • You have attended the 6-Day Distiller Course at Moonshine University, OR
  • You have a valid Distilled Spirits Permit, or DSP, OR
  • You have extensive experience in or ownership of a brewery.

Tuition includes all class materials; breakfast, lunch, and refreshments; an invite to First Round at The Brown networking event; and transportation between our contracted hotel and our campus. $5,145

**Early Bird Registration covers your stay at our contracted hotel from the night before Day 1 to the last day of class.
