Thirsty to learn more about the wonders of whiskey? Well, get ready to master your craft from a distance. Become a whiskey connoisseur with this advanced two-session workshop led by Matt Strickland, Master Distiller at Distillerie Cote des Saints.

In this webinar, attendees will:

  • Explore the history of whiskey,
  • Examine world whiskeys, their production processes, and standards of identity,
  • Study the individual grain and distillate components of various whiskey styles,
  • Discover best practices in malting, smoking, mashing, fermentation, and making cuts,
  • Gain insights into traditional and alternative aging,
  • Explore in depth the important chemical reactions that occur during maturation,
  • Discover how to manipulate variables to achieve desired flavors,
  • Examine best practices in warehouse design and blending operations,
  • Learn to guide an informative and engaging sensory evaluation.

This webinar takes place in two parts on August 6 through 7 from 1pm to 5pm (EST) with a 30-minute break during each session. Q&A is welcome throughout. The cost to attend is $350.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Matt Strickland
Master Distiller, Distillerie Cote de Saints

Matt has worked in the Beer, Wine & Spirits industries since 2012. At Corsair Artisan Distillery, he functioned as Head of R&D in Nashville, Tennessee, before becoming Head Distiller at District Distilling Company in Washington DC. From there, Matt moved to Canada to be Head Distiller at Distillerie Cote de Saints while also offering services and consultation assistance through his business, DRAM.
