18th Street Distillery: Alumni Spotlight

Drew Fox, Owner of 18th Street Distillery, shares his story. Fox explains their beginnings in brewing and experimental approach to product development. With the successfully established 18th Street Brewery and ample production knowledge, Drew knew he had the foundation to expand into distilling. He came to Moonshine University in Louisville, Kentucky to hone his skill set and discover what it would take to grow his business in that direction. At the 6-Day Distiller course, he was able to gain contacts, knowledge, and skills that saved him time, money, and mistakes.

About 18th Street Distillery

18th Street Distillery is the first award-winning artisan distillery to open since prohibition in Hammond, let alone Northwest Indiana.

‘We will not rush any of our aged spirits, instead we want to continue to build a brand that will not take shortcuts because of demand. We want to take the time honored tradition of producing high quality spirits using the best ingredients possible’.

The distillery is very proud to have its name etched in history as the only operating in the city of Hammond.
