Welcome to our Web Site (the “Site”). This Site is administered by Moonshine University® (“MU”) in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. We are committed to protecting the privacy of Internet users who visit our Site. This Privacy Practices Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is intended to inform you of the ways in which this Site collects information for the MU brand featured on the Site (the “Brand”), the uses for that information , and the ways in which we will protect any personal information you choose to provide us.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to our newsletter or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter information including, but not limited to, your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, date of birth or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To improve customer service – Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs

As a result of providing us with your contact information, we may contact you by sending you mailings or other communications (electronic or otherwise) regarding MU’s products, services, promotions, upcoming events or notifications that we believe may be of interest to you. We may also ask you (or have a service provider ask on our behalf) to participate in a survey seeking information or opinions related to our category of products.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway provider’s database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

This Site uses Google Analytics to help analyze how our visitors use our Site. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are small text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet login information and visitor behavior information in anonymous form. No personally identifiable information is collected about you unless you voluntarily submit it via a fill-out form on this Site or submit it by email. The anonymous information generated by the cookies about your use of this website, including your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, is transmitted to Google. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. This information is then processed to compile statistical reports on usage so that MU may optimize content and our marketing to better serve you.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. Persons Under Legal Drinking Age Are Not Allowed

MU maintains this Site for the use of individuals who are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages under applicable law, and you must be of legal drinking age where you reside to access the Site and provide information to us. We do not solicit or knowingly collect personal information from persons under such legal drinking age, and we do not knowingly market our products of services to persons under such legal drinking age.
