Call Family Distillers: Alumni Spotlight
Published on:
May 12, 2016Owner & Head Distiller Brian Call and Operations Officer & Distiller Brad Call share the story of Call Family Distillers, a distillery located in Wilkesboro, North Carolina - the moonshine capital of the world and birthplace of NASCAR.
The Call family has a rich family history in making liquor - from Reverend Dan Call who taught Jack Daniels how to make whiskey, up to Willie Clay Call, a famous moonshine hauler called "The Uncatchable." The team came to Moonshine University in Louisville, Kentucky to get hands-on experience using the equipment and discover what it would take to grow their business in new directions. At the 6-Day Distiller course, they were able to gain contacts, knowledge, and skills that saved them time, money, and mistakes.
