Elevated Mountain Distilling Company: Alumni Spotlight
Dave Angel, Owner of Elevated Mountain Distilling Company, shares his story. Angel explains the inspiration for the craft distillery in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Located between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway, it's the perfect place to run a craft distillery. Named for its physical elevation and elevation of the spirits products it sells, the distillery uses methods that pay homage to legendary moonshiners like Popcorn Sutton, but with a modern twist.
Angel came to Moonshine University in Louisville, Kentucky to enter the gateway to the distilling industry and discover what it would take to launch his dream distillery. At the 6-Day Distiller course, he was able to gain contacts, knowledge, and skills that saved him time, money, and mistakes.
